California Company Caught Using Recycled Pets In Dog Food
Posted on April 30, 2017 by henrymassingale under TODAY’S HEADLINES
A California-based pet food company has been caught using recycled pets as cheap protein in its popular dog food. Party Animals is recalling two lots from its line of Cocolicious Dog Foods after cans in Texas tested positive for pentobarbital — a chemical that’s used by veterinarians to euthanize pets.
Rendering plants recycle material including:

Slaughterhouse waste such as heads and hooves from cattle, sheep, pigs and horses, blood, bones, etc.
Thousands of euthanised cats and dogs from veterinarians and animal shelters
Dead animals such as skunks, rats, and raccoons
Carcasses of pets, livestock, poultry waste
Supermarket rejects

Because rendering plants operate as cheaply as possible, they unavoidably process toxic wastes.
As well as euthanasia drugs given to pets, flea collars and pet ID tags, surgical pins and needles, cattle ID tags and green plastic bags containing dead pets from veterinarians get churned in the mix that becomes “animal byproduct meal.”

Zerohedge – A Graduation Message For A Tyrannical Age
Those coming of age today will face some of the greatest obstacles ever encountered by young people.
They will find themselves overtaxed, burdened with excessive college debt, and struggling to find worthwhile employment in a debt-ridden economy on the brink of implosion. Their privacy will be eviscerated by the surveillance state. They will be the subjects of a military empire constantly waging war against shadowy enemies and government agents armed to the teeth ready and able to lock down the country at a moment’s notice.
As such, they will find themselves forced to march in lockstep with a government that no longer exists to serve the people but which demands they be obedient slaves or suffer the consequences.
It’s a dismal prospect, isn’t it?
Unfortunately, we who should have known better failed to guard against such a future.
Worse, we neglected to maintain our freedoms or provide our young people with the tools necessary to survive, let alone succeed, in the impersonal jungle that is modern America.
We brought them into homes fractured by divorce, distracted by mindless entertainment, and obsessed with the pursuit of materialism. We institutionalized them in daycares and afterschool programs, substituting time with teachers and childcare workers for parental involvement. We turned them into test-takers instead of thinkers and automatons instead of activists.

Daily dose of cannabis extract could help memory in old age – study
It’s a simple fact of life, with old age comes cognitive decline.
However, a group of German researchers believes a daily dose of cannabis extract could help boost memory and learning potential in elderly people.
In a study published Tuesday in the journal Nature Medicine, researchers from the University of Bonn, Germany, found that regular doses of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive constituent of cannabis, boosted memory and learning in elderly mice.
Study – A chronic low dose of ∆9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) restores cognitive function in old mice

RT – Christian Jakarta governor sentenced to 2 years for ‘blasphemy’ against Islam
Published time: 9 May, 2017 11:00
An Indonesian court has found the first Christian governor of Jakarta guilty of blasphemy against Islam, sentencing him to two years in prison. His supporters have blasted the verdict, fearing it signals the ‘Islamization’ of Indonesia.
Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, nicknamed ‘Ahok,’ was sentenced to two years in jail on Tuesday by the five-judge panel of the south Jakarta court.
He was “found to have legitimately and convincingly conducted a criminal act of blasphemy, and because of that we have imposed two years of imprisonment,” head judge Dwiarso Budi Santiarto stated.
Other judges supported the blasphemy charge, saying that “the defendant didn’t feel guilt,” “caused anxiety and hurt Muslims,” and should not have used “words with negative connotations regarding the symbols of religions,” according to the Guardian.
The governor was arrested immediately after the verdict and taken to Cipinang Prison in east Jakarta, but is set to file an appeal. The sentence is harsher than prosecutors had called for as they had reportedly recommended two years of probation, AP reports.
Crowds gathered outside the court, demanding that Ahok be given the maximum five-year sentence for blasphemy.

Jakarta Governor Ahok Asks for Prayers as He Faces Trial for Blasphemy

Jakarta Governor Ahok Asks for Prayers as He Faces Trial for Blasphemy
Jakarta’s Christian governor Basuki Tjahaja Purnama, popularly known as Ahok, was emotional and spoke softly as he asked people to pray for him while he goes on trial for blasphemy.
The naturally outspoken governor asked for prayers so that he will have a fair trial and that the issue will be resolved soon. He said he has surrendered the trial’s outcome to God, who decides the fate of everyone.
Ahok confessed the case has taken much of his attention, and he wants it to be over so he can focus on more pressing matters.
“I ask you to pray for me so that the legal process is fair and transparent, and I hope I can get past this trouble as soon as possible,” he said, according to The Jakarta Post. “Therefore, I can use my time to provide better services to Jakarta residents.”
The police named Ahok as a suspect in a blasphemy case on Nov. 16. Ahok responded to the National Police summons on Thursday, which officially turned the case over to the Attorney General’s Office.
He is being charged under Article 156 Section A of the Criminal Code. If found guilty of blasphemy, he could be incarcerated for a maximum of 5 years.
Police gave the dossier to the AGO on Friday, and the AGO declared it complete.
Sirra Prayuna, Ahok’s lawyer, praised the AGO for taking less than two weeks to process the dossier.
