He began screaming all day long, he would spin in circles, and he started repetitive behaviors. He couldn’t wear shirts with tags and his skin became very sensitive. He began having chronic diarrhea, stomach aches, and very bad gluten allergies. They went to a neurologist and had MRIs because he began to have muscle tics and couldn’t go to sleep. He was diagnosed with autism at the age of 4.

He had been talking perfectly. He lost social skills and stopped playing with his toys and couldn’t handle loud noises. They began to suspect he might have developed autism and got an evaluation at 18 months. 2 months later they began special instruction therapy. Her doctor discouraged her from trying any sort of biomedical treatments.

Regina has 3 children with disabilities. Her oldest son was born with significant birth injuries. With her second son, she was much more cautious and gave birth to a beautiful, healthy baby. After his 2 month shots, he started crying all night and having 10-15 seizures a day. The doctors were unable to diagnose a cause and said it was better off not knowing what was causing it. He was diagnosed by 20 months with ASD. Because of all of the care her 2nd son required, she had gotten behind on her 3rd child’s shots and took him in to get caught up on all of his shots. That night, he developed bruising all over his body. She took him to the pediatrician and they diagnosed him with ITP- Immune Thrombocytopenic Purpura.
