An interview with Robert Kennedy Jr. on vaccines

In the early days of 2017, proponents of vaccination were deeply concerned. Donald Trump, who has long espoused a debunked link between vaccines and autism, was set to enter the White House. He met with environmental activist Robert Kennedy Jr., who has for years argued that vaccines can cause a range of developmental and other health conditions. Kennedy emerged to report he’d been asked to chair a commission into vaccine safety.
But seven months later, no such commission has been appointed and the crisis-mired White House has declined to say whether the plan has been shelved.
STAT contacted Kennedy to see where plans stood. He would only speak on condition that STAT publish the interview in a Q&A format. He argued that his assertions — which are disputed as a misreading of the scientific literature by many mainstream scientists — have been misquoted and misrepresented in the media.
Here is STAT’s conversation with Kennedy. It has been lightly edited, for length and readability.
The question I want to ask you relates to the vaccine safety commission that you had announced in January that you were going to head, after you met with then President-elect Trump. It’s been a number of months now, and there hasn’t been any further public announcement. And so we’ve been wondering: Where does this stand?
I’ve had no discussions specifically about the vaccine safety commission, probably since February. I’ve spoken to the White House about other issues of vaccine safety and had a number of follow-up meetings.

Study – The putative role of environmental aluminium in the development of chronic neuropathology in adults and children. How strong is the evidence and what could be the mechanisms involved?
Abstract
The conceptualisation of autistic spectrum disorder and Alzheimer’s disease has undergone something of a paradigm shift in recent years and rather than being viewed as single illnesses with a unitary pathogenesis and pathophysiology they are increasingly considered to be heterogeneous syndromes with a complex multifactorial aetiopathogenesis, involving a highly complex and diverse combination of genetic, epigenetic and environmental factors. One such environmental factor implicated as a potential cause in both syndromes is aluminium, as an element or as part of a salt, received, for example, in oral form or as an adjuvant. Such administration has the potential to induce pathology via several routes such as provoking dysfunction and/or activation of glial cells which play an indispensable role in the regulation of central nervous system homeostasis and neurodevelopment. Other routes include the generation of oxidative stress, depletion of reduced glutathione, direct and indirect reductions in mitochondrial performance and integrity, and increasing the production of proinflammatory cytokines in both the brain and peripherally. The mechanisms whereby environmental aluminium could contribute to the development of the highly specific pattern of neuropathology seen in Alzheimer’s disease are described. Also detailed are several mechanisms whereby significant quantities of aluminium introduced via immunisation could produce chronic neuropathology in genetically susceptible children. Accordingly, it is recommended that the use of aluminium salts in immunisations should be discontinued and that adults should take steps to minimise their exposure to environmental aluminium.

In an instant Tommey was a persecuted individual who moments later would find out she was officially banned from Australia for three years. Next, it came time for airport security immigration officers to address one of the reasons Tommey was being harassed:
“Then they asked me about Vaxxed. Did I have a copy of it? Endless questions about Vaxxed being a very dangerous film with lies…I’m a mother recording stories from parents. And parents come to me to tell their stories. I didn’t seek them out, they come to me. And that is more of a threat than anything else?”
How did we get to the point where a mother can be banned from a western country for simply offering a voice to families?

Why My Wife and I Decided Not To Vaccinate Our Daughter

When my wife was pregnant we knew the vaccine issue was coming our way and we put it off as long as possible. As the day fast approached, I started to investigate and compile some information for my wife because she trusted that I would make sure she understood what the main issues were regarding vaccination. We had heard vaccinations were potentially dangerous but we didn’t know if that applied to all children or just some. We weren’t aware if vaccination was beneficial for some babies and maybe not for others. We were new to being parents and we didn’t want to make any mistakes. We certainly didn’t want our baby getting sick if we could do something about it proactively. We wanted our baby to have the most comfortable journey through life possible and if that meant giving our new born vaccines, so she could avoid disease now and in the future, then that’s what we were going to do. After researching for a couple of days, we were more than shocked at what we were uncovering.

Study – Neurological and autoimmune disorders after vaccination against pandemic influenza A (H1N1) with a monovalent adjuvanted vaccine: population based cohort study in Stockholm, Sweden.
RESULTS:
Excess risks among vaccinated compared with unvaccinated people were of low magnitude for Bell’s palsy (hazard ratio 1.25, 95% confidence interval 1.06 to 1.48) and paraesthesia (1.11, 1.00 to 1.23) after adjustment for age, sex, socioeconomic status, and healthcare utilisation. Risks for Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, and rheumatoid arthritis remained unchanged. The risks of paraesthesia and inflammatory bowel disease among those vaccinated in the early phase (within 45 days from 1 October 2009) of the vaccination campaign were significantly increased; the risk being increased within the first six weeks after vaccination. Those vaccinated in the early phase were at a slightly reduced risk of death than those who were unvaccinated (0.94, 0.91 to 0.98), whereas those vaccinated in the late phase had an overall reduced mortality (0.68, 0.64 to 0.71). These associations could be real or explained, partly or entirely, by residual confounding.
CONCLUSIONS:
Results for the safety of Pandemrix over 8-10 months of follow-up were reassuring -notably, no change in the risk for Guillain-Barré syndrome, multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, or rheumatoid arthritis. Relative risks were significantly increased for Bell’s palsy, paraesthesia, and inflammatory bowel disease after vaccination, predominantly in the early phase of the vaccination campaign. Small numbers of children and adolescents with narcolepsy precluded any meaningful conclusions.

Movie Vaxxed gets up QUEENSLAND Health Minister’s nose

QUEENSLAND Health Minister Cameron Dick was either seriously misinformed, ignorant, or flat out lying when, in response to the touring movie Vaxxed: From Coverup to Catastrophe, he said “there is no shred of credible scientific evidence to support claims that vaccinations are dangerous” (Gold Coast Bulletin, 15/7/17).
The same with Victorian Health Minister Jill Hennessy who stated on Seven News in February last year: “There are no risks in vaccinating your children – the science is really clear”.
Dr Hooker, who joined the Vaxxed tour, says there are in fact more than 100 studies on PubMed on autism, neurological developmental disorders (NDDs) and vaccination. But here’s a few specific studies our blind, deaf and dumb health ministers and their advisers refuse to look at.

GBS was the AID with the highest number of reports (125, adjuvanted: 109, non-adjuvanted: 16).
3. Serious adverse events rarely reported after trivalent inactivated influenza vaccine (TIV) in children 6-23 months of age. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/19450636 From results: “During 1991-2001, VAERS received 128,717 reports…A total of 14.2% of all reports described serious adverse events, which by regulatory definition include death, life-threatening illness, hospitalization or prolongation of hospitalization, or permanent disability.”
4. “Adverse events following Haemophilus influenzae type b vaccines in the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, 1990-2013.” https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/25598306 Study results found: “VAERS received 29,747 reports after Hib vaccines; 5179 (17%) were serious, including 896 reports of deaths. Median age was 6 months (range 0-1022 months). Sudden infant death syndrome was the stated cause of death in 384 (51%) of 749 death reports with autopsy/death certificate records. The most common non-death serious AE categories were neurologic (80; 37%), other noninfectious (46; 22%) (comprising mainly constitutional signs and symptoms); and gastrointestinal (39; 18%) conditions.”

Study: Vaccine Induced Inflammation Cause of Obesity Epidemic – Not Diet
Childhood obesity is now a reason why the state could take away children from their parents. The rationale is that if a child is obese, it is the parents’ fault, because they failed to feed them properly. It is assumed that all childhood obesity is a result of diet.
However, most of us have probably seen first-hand just how different children are when it comes to food and putting on weight. Some children can eat junk food most of the time and never add weight, while some children can eat a healthy, organic diet and still add pounds.
Dr. J. Bart Classen has published a study claiming that the evidence for the overwhelming problem of childhood obesity is not diet, but “vaccine induced inflammation.”

Four Sanger middle-school students have chickenpox – and they had been vaccinated

Four students at Washington Academic Middle School are home with chickenpox – and each had previously had vaccinations to prevent getting the disease.
Parents at the Sanger Unified school were notified by telephone Monday night after one student was diagnosed with the highly contagious disease.
That student had attended classes last week, and on Tuesday the district learned that three other students at the middle school had chickenpox, said Kimberly Salomonson, director of pupil services. The three newly-diagnosed students all live in the same house, she said.
Chickenpox has been on the decline since a varicella vaccine became available in 1995, but cases still occur. Just this week, it was reported that nearly 100 unvaccinated students at an elementary school in Agoura Hills in Southern California were told to stay home because of an outbreak at the school.
All four of the Sanger middle-school students were fully immunized against chickenpox, Salomonson said. Most children are now immunized with at least one dose of varicella vaccine, which is 80 to 85 percent effective in preventing chickenpox. Two doses of the vaccine are now recommended. Children should receive the first dose at 12 through 15 months old and a second dose at 4 through 6 years old.. Each of the Sanger students had had the two doses of vaccine, Salomonson said. It’s unusual that someone fully immunized would come down with the disease, but not unheard of, she said. “There is no vaccination that is 100 percent.”

Study 2007 – Residual adverse changes in arterial endothelial function and LDL oxidation after a mild systemic inflammation induced by influenza vaccination
RESULTS:
Influenza vaccination caused a slight elevation in CRP (from 0.5+/-0.1 at baseline, to 2+/-0.6 mg/L, P = 0.01) and fibrinogen (from 2.3+/-0.1 to 2.7+/-0.1 g/L, P = 0.01) at 2 days, which completely resolved at 14 days (CRP: 0.6+/-0.2 mg/L, P = 0.9, and fibrinogen: 2.3+/-0.1 g/L, P = 0.8 versus baseline). OxLDL antibody levels rose significantly at 2 days (from 1+/-0.1 at baseline to 2+/-0.4, P = 0.04), and remained elevated at 14 days (1.7+/-0.3, P = 0.1 versus baseline). FMD of the brachial artery decreased at 2 days (from 8.3+/-1.2% at baseline, to 5.4+/-1%, P = 0.05) with a further decrease at 14 days (4.9+/-0.8%, P = 0.03 versus baseline). The dilatory responses to GTN and the carotid IMT remained unchanged throughout the study period (P>0.5).

CONCLUSION:
Abnormalities in arterial function and LDL oxidation may persist for at least 2 weeks after a slight inflammatory reaction induced by influenza vaccination. These could explain in part the earlier reported increase in cardiovascular risk during the first weeks after an acute inflammatory disorder.

Two important FDA approved changes to the warning label of Merck Pharmaceutical’s shingles vaccine, Zostavax, have been made since the controversial drug was introduced in 2006.  The first was in August 2014, when, in addition to potentially causing chickenpox, another side effect was added: shingles! That’s right. The vaccine that had been – and continues to be — aggressively marketed to prevent seniors from contracting this excruciating condition was found to actually cause shingles in some individuals.
In February of this year, the FDA approved a label change to warn those who prescribe the Zostavax vaccine of another potential side effect: “Eye Disorders: necrotizing retinitis.”

A new bill that was introduced to the Michigan House of Representatives on March 28 would prevent public health officials from excluding children from school who have not been vaccinated in the event of a disease outbreak, except in “epidemic” situations.
Proposed by several legislators including local representatives Lee Chatfield and Triston Cole, the bill has been referred to the Committee on Education Reform.
“Parents have a fundamental right to direct the education and upbringing of their children,” Chatfield said in a statement. “While I have personally chosen to vaccinate my children, parents should not be required to participate in a government program in order to exercise their right to make medical decisions for their children.”

Autism, Vaccination and Immigrants – Yet another Clear Correlation An Update

A recent measles outbreak has recently been reported in Minnesota.
According to the MN State Department of Health, there have been 51 confirmed measles cases (48 children and 3 adults) as of May 10, 2017.
Forty seven cases were unvaccinated, one case had 1 dose of MMR vaccine and two cases had 2 doses of MMR. The vaccination status of one case was unknown.
There was no mention of hospitalization or death.
Forty six cases were Somali Minnesotan.
The previous measles outbreak was in 2011 when 26 cases were reported.
Wolff and Madlon-Kay discussed that 2011 measles outbreak in their publication titled “Childhood vaccine beliefs reported by Somali and non-Somali parents”.
They reported that: “Somali parents were more likely than non-Somali parents to have refused the MMR vaccine for their child (odds ratio, 4.6; 95% confidence interval, 1.2-18.0). Most of them refused vaccines because they had heard of adverse effects associated with the vaccine or personally knew someone who suffered an adverse effect. Somali parents were significantly more likely to believe that autism is caused by vaccines (35% vs. 8% of non-Somali parents). Somalis were also more likely to be uncomfortable with administering multiple vaccines at one visit (odds ratio, 4.0; 95% confidence interval, 1.4-11.9) and more likely to believe that children receive too many vaccines.”
The authors concluded that: “Statistically significant differences in perceptions and use of vaccines were reported by Somali and non-Somali participants. Somali parents are more likely to believe that the MMR vaccine causes autism and more likely to refuse the MMR vaccine than non-Somali parents. Study – Chickenpox vaccination increases incidence of shingles in younger adults

Vaccinating one-year-olds against chickenpox could temporarily nearly double the incidence of shingles in the wider population, but in younger adults than previously thought.
The effect occurs because vaccination reduces the likelihood of adults who experienced chickenpox as a child being re-exposed to the virus. Re-exposure boosts immunity to shingles, caused by the same virus, Varicella-zoster virus.
In a study to be published in the journal eLife, scientists from the Universities of Antwerp and Hasselt (Belgium) have predicted that the temporary effect of a rise in shingles cases dominates in 31 to 40-year-olds. This is younger than previously predicted and this age group is less at risk of developing the most serious shingles symptoms. Many countries have avoided introducing universal chickenpox vaccination in children because it was previously predicted that the reduction in chickenpox related disease would be outbalanced by the temporarily increase in shingles-related disease.
A new model developed by the scientists also confounds previous findings on the length of time re-exposure chickenpox boosts immunity to shingles. The effect was thought to last for up to 20 years, but results of the current modeling study show it only lasts for two. The new model is the first based on real immunological and virological data from individuals.
“We were surprised to find that re-exposure to chickenpox is beneficial for so few years and also that the most pronounced effect of vaccination on increasing cases of shingles is in younger adults,” says lead author Dr Benson Ogunjimi.
“Our findings should allay some fears about implementing childhood chickenpox vaccination,” he says.

The Connection Between Autism and Brain Inflammation
Autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) now affect as many as 1 in 45 children — and the numbers are rising. Autism Rates in California Schools Jumped As Much as 17% Among Kindergartners Since Mandatory Vaccine Bill Was Signed

Autism rates in the US have been rising since the 1980s. In 1985 autism prevalence was 1 in 2,500, ten years later it jumped to 1 in 500, and today it is an astonishing 1 in 68 children.
More and more researchers and doctors are raising red flags as they see more evidence that this epidemic is related not only to environmental, food, and water toxins, but specifically to those in vaccinations. In 1995, the immunization schedule for children had 19 vaccinations before the age of 16. In 2001, that number is now 28 before the age of 18.
Following the 2016 schedule, a child can receive up to 72 vaccinations if they have all the doses of the vaccines, all the boosters, and a double-dose of the annual flu shot done.
While the state of California has long been in favor of natural medicine and freedom to choose your own method of healing, all that changed in June 2015 when Governor Jerry Brown signed the controversial SB277 bill eliminating personal and religious exemptions for vaccines.

Robert De Niro joined Robert F. Kennedy Jr. in Washington, D.C. on Feb. 15 to hold a press conference about vaccine safety.
The pair are looking for proof that vaccines are safe and teamed up to offer $100,000 to anyone who can provide such information.
The actor participated in the panel, which showcased discredited claims surrounding vaccination, including the notion that they cause autism and that high levels of mercury in immunizations can make kids sick.
“On one hand, the government is telling pregnant women which mercury-laced fish to avoid so that they don’t harm their fetuses, and on the other, the CDC supports injecting mercury-containing vaccines into pregnant women, infants and children,” Kennedy said at the joint press conference Wednesday.

MEASLES VACCINATION RESULTS IN HORRIFIC RASHES AND ILLNESS ON CHILDREN
HUNDREDS of children between the ages of 1 to 14 have been admitted in hospitals across Lesotho after a nationwide vaccination for measles and rubella (MR) resulted in horrific skin rashes, fever and muscle pain.
The vaccinations were carried out in February under the authority of the Lesotho ministry of health headed by Dr Molotsi Monyamane, in association with World Health Organization and UNICEF.
At a press conference on Thursday last week Dr Monyamane didn’t fully acknowledge that the MR jabs which were administered in homes, schools and clinics were the main cause of ill effects on hundreds of children and the death of at least one child.
Instead the minister downplayed the effects of the vaccination by saying the children who have come out with rashes and other illnesses might be undernourished, hence their reaction to the vaccine.
‘We don’t have proof that the pictures posted on social media are truly for children who got such side effects from the vaccination,” Dr Monyamane said.
He added: “Do not bring us pictures, bring those children here we have a specialist here. Parents should bring documented evidence from health professionals that prove that the children`s illness is a result of the vaccine. Take your children to the health facilities; I do not know what is ailing the children. Let’s all investigate what is causing this outbreak. We can’t attribute every illness in the country to the vaccine.”
Dr Monyamane’s dismissive attitude has offended scores of parents some of who are considering legal action against him and the ministry of health.
One mother who didn’t want to be identified told Team Buntu Africa that her once perfectly healthy five-year old son has been sick since being vaccinated with MR.

Dirty Vaccines: Every Human Vaccine Tested Was Contaminated With Metals and Debris in New Study

Study – New Quality-Control Investigations on Vaccines Micro and Nanocontamination
Researchers examining 44 samples of 30 different vaccines found dangerous contaminants, including red blood cells in one vaccine and metal toxicants in every single sample tested – except in one animal vaccine.
Using extremely sensitive new technologies not used in vaccine manufacturing, Italian scientists reported they were “baffled” by their discoveries which included single particles and aggregates of organic debris including red cells of human or possibly animal origin and metals including lead, tungsten, gold, and chromium, that have been linked to autoimmune disease and leukemia.
In the study, published this week in the International Journal of Vaccines and Vaccination, the researchers led by Antoinetta Gatti, of the National Council of Research of Italy and the Scientific Director of Nanodiagnostics, say their results “show the presence of micro- and nano-sized particulate matter composed of inorganic elements in vaccine samples” not declared in the products’ ingredients lists.
Lead particles were found in the cervical cancer vaccines, Gardasil and Cevarix, for example, and in the seasonal flu vaccine Aggripal manufactured by Novartis as well as in the Meningetec vaccine meant to protect against meningitis C.
Samples of an infant vaccine called Infarix Hexa (against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, hepatitis B, poliomyelitis and haemophilus influenzae type B) manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline was found to contain stainless steel, tungsten and a gold-zinc aggregate.
Other metal contaminants included platinum, silver, bismuth, iron, and chromium. Chromium (alone or in alloy with iron and nickel) was identified in 25 of the human vaccines from Italy and France that were tested.
GSK’s Fluarix vaccine for children three years and older contained 11 metals and aggregates of metals. Similar aggregates to those identified in the vaccines have been shown to be prevalent in cases of leukemia, the researchers noted.

The dramatic resurgence of whooping cough is due, in large part, to vaccinated people who are infectious but who do not display the symptoms, suggests a new study.
Whooping cough has made an astonishing comeback, with 2012 seeing nearly 50,000 infections in the U.S. (the most since 1955), and a death rate in infants three times that of the rest of the population. The dramatic resurgence has puzzled public health officials, who have pointed to the waning effectiveness of the current vaccine and growing anti-vaccine sentiment as the most likely culprits.
But that might not be the whole story, suggests a new study published in BMC Medicine by Santa Fe Institute Omidyar Fellows Ben Althouse and Sam Scarpino. Their research points to a different, but related, source of the outbreak — vaccinated people who are infectious but who do not display the symptoms of whooping cough, suggesting that the number of people transmitting without symptoms may be many times greater than those transmitting with symptoms.
In the 1950s, highly successful vaccines based on inactivated pertussis cells (the bacteria that causes whooping cough) drove infection rates in the U.S. below one case per 100,000 people. But adverse side effects of those vaccines led to the development and introduction in the 1990s of acellular pertussis vaccines, which use just a handful of the bacteria’s proteins and bypass most of the side effects. (Currently given to children as part of the Tdap vaccine.)
The problem is, the newer vaccines might not block transmission. A January 2014 study in PNAS by another research team demonstrated that giving baboons acellular pertussis vaccines prevented them from developing symptoms of whooping cough but failed to stop transmission.
Building on that result, Althouse and Scarpino used whopping cough case counts from the CDC, genomic data on the pertussis bacteria, and a detailed epidemiological model of whooping cough transmission to conclude that acellular vaccines may well have contributed to — even exacerbated — the recent pertussis outbreak by allowing infected individuals without symptoms to unknowingly spread pertussis multiple times in their lifetimes.
‘There could be millions of people out there with just a minor cough or no cough spreading this potentially fatal disease without knowing it,’ said Althouse. ‘The public health community should act now to better assess the true burden of pertussis infection.’
