On the 4th of July, 2017 at approximately 34 weeks’ gestation, a pregnant Imogen went off to the doctor to have the Tdap vaccine, a 3 in 1 shot containing tetanus, diphtheria and whooping cough (pertussis). Despite the manufacturer’s product insert stating “…adequate human data on use in pregnancy are not available” and no scientific evidence proving either safety or effectiveness during pregnancy, expectant mothers are advised by their physicians that this shot will protect their babies from whooping cough for the first six weeks of life. That is, before their child is old enough to have their first set of vaccines.
According to a screen shot taken from John’s Facebook profile, just two days after receiving this experimental vaccine, Imogen “….started to get sick with a sore throat and really runny nose”. This was followed by a fever and an earache and progressively, her symptoms became worse. Blood tests and a physical examination provided no answers and by the 14th, just 10 days after receiving the vaccine, Imogen was rushed off to hospital where, John states, “we were in emergency waiting area for about 40mins and that was the last time she spoke to me or anyone. That whole time we thought it was just a bad ear ache. The rest…. was terrifying to watch”.
When asked if she felt the vaccine may have played a part in Imogen’s death, Dr. Suzanne Humphries, a twice board certified, licensed, internal medicine doctor and nephrologist said it was “…highly plausible”.
According to the manufacturer’s insert, side effects of the vaccine include upper respiratory tract infections, fever, fainting, pharyngitis (inflammation of the pharynx causing a sore throat), Syncope (fainting), lymphadenopathy (inflammation of the lymph nodes), headache, dizziness, and cough to name just a few. Post marketing surveillance also states “collapse…and convulsions within 2 to 3 days of vaccination have been reported”.
While side effects from vaccines are of concern, according to Dr. Humphries, there is also a well documented non-specific effect which demonstrates the Tdap vaccine “makes people more susceptible to non Tdap infections”. This effect is scientifically echoed with other vaccines also.

CDC Admits Flu Shots Fail Half the Time

Americans have never been big fans of flu shots. During the 2009 “swine flu” influenza A pandemic, only about 40 percent of adults bothered to roll up their sleeves. 1 Last year, flu vaccine rates were still just 47 percent for adults but pediatricians had vaccinated 75 percent of children under two years old. 2
Perhaps it is because parents are being thrown out of pediatricians’ offices if they don’t give their children every federally recommended vaccine – or maybe it is just because adults can talk about how they felt after getting vaccinated and infants and children under age two cannot.
How many times has someone told you: “The year I got a flu shot is the only year I got sick” or maybe you learned that the hard way yourself after getting vaccinated.
Doctors insist that just because we get sick with a fever, headache, body aches and a terrible cough that hangs on for weeks after getting vaccinated, it doesn’t mean the vaccine made us sick. They say it was just a “coincidence” because correlation does not equal causation. 3 4

Turkish courts strike blow against immunization program

The anti-vaccination movement in Turkey has found support in its battle against mandatory immunization programs: the courts.

On May 4, the Court of Cassation, or Supreme Court of Appeals – Turkey’s top administrative court – ruled against mandatory vaccination, saying that the program would lead to violation of individual rights. Again, on May 11, the same court ruled in favor of parents who did not want their kids to be vaccinated.

In its recent rulings, the Constitutional Court, the highest body in the Turkish judiciary, decided that the current immunization program could not continue as it lacked a valid legal framework. On Dec. 24, 2015, the same court said the existing law did not permit the authorities to act against parents’ wishes. The court also pointed out the overly vague aspect of the law on required vaccinations.

US media failed to cite pundits’ ties to defense industry in Syria strike debate

Nearly two dozen of the commentators who appeared on major media outlets to discuss a possible US military strike on Syria had relationships with contractors and other organizations with a vested interest in the conflict, according to a new report.

The Public Accountability Initiative, a non-profit research group dedicated to “investigating power and corruption at the heights of business and government,” determined that 22 of the pundits who spoke to the media during the public debate over whether the US should bomb Syria appeared to have conflicts of interest. Seven think tanks with murky affiliations were also involved in the debate.

Some analysts held board positions or held stock in companies that produce weapons for the US military, while others conducted work for private firms with the relationships not disclosed to the public.

Perhaps the most notable example is that of Stephen Hadley, a former national security advisor to President George Bush who argued in favor of striking Syria in appearances on CNN, MSNBC, Fox News and Bloomberg TV. He also wrote an editorial in The Washington Post with the headline, “To stop Iran, Obama must enforce red lines with Assad.”

Nowhere in those appearances was it disclosed, according to the report, that Hadley is a director with Raytheon, a weapons manufacturer that produces the Tomahawk cruise missiles the US almost certainly would have used had it intervened in Syria. Hadley earns an annual salary of $128,5000 from Raytheon and owns 11,477 shares of Raytheon stock. His holdings were worth $891,189 as of August 23.

“We found lots of industry ties. Some of them are stronger than others. Some really rise to the level of clear conflicts of interest,” Kevin Connor, co-author of the report, told The Washington Post. “These networks and these commentators should err on the side of disclosure.”

The report found that, out of 37 appearances of the pundits named, CNN attempted to disclose that individual’s ties a mere seven times. In 23 appearances on Fox News there was not a single attempt to disclose industry ties. And in 16 appearances on NBC or its umbrella networks, attempts at disclosure were made five times.

Clashes broke out in Rio de Janeiro’s busy downtown business district on Tuesday as police skirmished with striking schoolteachers. Teachers pressing for better pay had gathered in front of City Hall, where a vote on Mayor Eduardo Paes’ salary proposal was expected. The strikers oppose the proposal, which they say doesn’t go far enough to addressing their demands. Chaos broke out in late afternoon when police officers set off deafening percussion grenades and fired rubber bullets in this densely frequented commercial district. Negotiations between the city and the teachers’ unions have been acrimonious, and Tuesday was the strike’s 46th day.

Assad: Syria to hand over chem arms in 1 month, only if US drops strike plans

Syria will start handing over information on its chemical weapons to international groups a month after it signs the Chemical Weapons Convention, President Bashar Assad has told a Russian TV channel.

Damascus has agreed to a Russia proposal to put its chemical weapons stockpiles under international control.

“Syria is handing over its chemical weapons under international supervision because of Russia,” Assad said in an interview with state-run news channel Rossiya-24. “The US threats did not influence the decision.”

Within days Damascus promises to submit to the United Nations all documents required for joining the chemical weapons ban treaty. A month after Syria signs the Chemical Weapons Convention it will start handing over information on chemical weapons to international organizations.

“I believe the agreement will come into force a month after the signing and Syria will start submitting data on its chemical weapons stockpile to international organizations. These are standard procedures and we are going to stick to them,” he said.

Meanwhile, the UN says that it has received a letter from Syria on the country’s intention to join the treaty banning the production of chemical arms, their stockpiling and use. The Syrian government’s letter of accession is being translated, AP cited UN associate spokesman Farhan Haq as saying Thursday. Signing the letter accession begins the process for a country to become party to the international agreement, the official said.

“It doesn’t mean that Syria will sign the documents, fulfill the obligations and that’s it. It’s a bilateral process aimed, first of all, at making the US stop pursuing its policy of threats against Syria,” Assad said, adding that a lot would also depend on the extent to which Russia’s proposal is accepted.

“Terrorists are trying to provoke American strike against Syria,” Assad said. Rebel forces are receiving chemical weapons from abroad, he added.
